Summary
My interest is to understand the processes and mechanisms by which natural selection in plants and its interactions with insects produces adaptation to a variable environment, as well as possible constraints to this adaptation. To study adaptation and constraint we measure the strength of selection acting in present-day populations and combine this with quantitative genetic to predict short-term evolutionary change. A closely related interest is how different floral traits evolve to work together as an adaptively integrated unit. Our research includes pollination ecology, and measurements of additive genetic variances and correlations.
