Summary
Dr. Srikant Manchiraju joined the RMPD department at Florida State University (FSU) in June 2015. Prior to joining FSU, he was a faculty member at Indiana University—Bloomington’s Apparel Merchandising and Interior Design department. Manchiraju holds a PhD degree in Apparel, Merchandising and Design from Iowa State University. Additionally, he holds a master’s degree in Fashion Apparel Studies from Philadelphia University. Broadly speaking, Manchiraju’s research interests are related to marketing and psychology. To this end, his research works have been related to ethical consumption, hedonic consumption, materialism, happiness, among others. His works have been published in various national and international journals and conference proceedings, which include Journal of Fashion Marketing Management, International Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing, International Textile and Apparel Association’s annual proceeding, among others. Additionally, Manchiraju has written book chapters. He is listed as board of reviewers for various journals such as Management & Marketing and Fashion, Style, & Popular Culture. Manchiraju is affiliated with several professional organizations such as Association of Psychological Science, Society of Consumer Psychology, International Positive Psychology Association, International Textile and Apparel Association,among others, to which he contributes his professional services on a regular basis. Manchiraju is a recipient of several teaching and research awards. Currently, at FSU, he will be teaching omni-channel retailing and consumer behavior.
