Summary
Dr. Levin is also Interim Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery within the Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania and Chief of the Division of Dentistry at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He lectures in the anesthesiology, pain control, emergency, oral and maxillofacial surgery, pediatric dentistry, pharmacology, and pathology courses. In addition, he lectures for the Oral Surgery residency program and the Division of Advanced Dental Education. Dr. Levin’s research interests include clinical trials for postoperative analgesics. In addition he is investigating orofacial bone marrow stromal cells, site specific characteristics, and therapeutic applications as a graft to bridge osseous defects in the maxillofacial region. His clinical interests include pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgery, dental implantology, and surgical correction of dentofacial deformity.
