Kamal Abouchedid has a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Manchester, U.K. He is a full-time faculty member in the rank of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Humanities at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU). He received his Fulbright Post-Doctoral Award in 2002 in Sociology where he conducted his research at the Department of Sociology at the University of Florida, Gainesville in the United States of America under the supervision of Professor Joe R. Feagin, former President of the American Sociological Association (ASA) and leading authority in research on race relations. Currently, Dr. Abouchedid is the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs. His research interests are multidisciplinary including education, sociology and psychology.

I am the coordinator of institutional accreditation and the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at (NDU). My current research activities center on quality assurance in higher education and educational reform. I am the General Secretary of the Lebanese Association for Educational Studies (LAES) since 2009. Since 1999 to the present, I have published a number of research articles in refereed journals and provided educational consultancy to UNESCO, UNDP and other regional and local organizations.
