Summary
Glenn is the founding president/CEO of SustainaMetrix, as part of an emerging technology center located at Johns Hopkins University. He has over 25 years experience in ecosystem-based management, working primarily on building adaptive capacity in response to ecosystem change. At SustainaMetrix he leads an interdisciplinary team in ongoing consultancies in ecosystem science and research, policy, education, economics, multi-media communications, technology and utilization-focused evaluation to conduct wide range of institutional and place-based planning, implementation and evaluation of ecosystem change and governance response. He has a long list of professional experiences building conservations programs from ground up leading design, implementation and evaluation at such organizations as the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Most recently he has pioneered a form of developmental evaluation for interdisciplinary PhD programs at major research Universities across the country. He serves as a lead evaluator for several Interdisciplinary PhD programs at institutions such as Tufts University, University of California at San Diego, Scripps Institute of Oceanography and University of Maryland Baltimore County. Current partners he is working with in applying the SustainaMetrix framework include the United Nations Equator Initiative, USAID Ghana, Africa Program, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Washington College Center for Environment and Society and many more.
