Dr. Chung is Interim Chair and Director of the Postdoctoral Orthodontic Program. His primary research interests include craniofacial growth and development, relationship between transverse dentofacial dimension and vertical facial morphology, orthodontic temporary anchorage devices (TAD), skeletal and dental changes after rapid palatal expansion (RPE) in children and surgically assisted RPE in adults utilizing cephalograms and cone beam CT images. Dr. Chung has numerous publications in The American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, The European Journal of Orthodontics, The Angle Orthodontist, Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, The International Journal of Adult Orthodontics and Orthognathic Surgery, Journal of Craniofacial Genetics and Developmental Biology, and Calcified Tissue International.
