Conducts service planning and design tasks needed to support operation of service. Evaluates and responds to service requests submitted by RTA employees, elected officials, general public. Analyzes ridership count data and other information to determine and recommend priorities for service changes and improvements on existing routes. Prepares reports and recommendations on a variety of service planning issues using statistics, research design, data compilation and analysis. Performs data analysis for social or economic research, creates maps and reports for Title VI compliance. Works independently to manage long term projects and reports, including Quarterly Route Performance, Productivity by Mode, Monthly Vehicle Stats for OMB. Uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for analysis of non spatial data, transforming data to visual maps used for communication to management, elected officials, and the public Investigates and responds to customer /public inquiries from TrapezeCOM system and communicates with people outside of the organization in person, writing, by telephone, and email. Undertakes/coordinates special projects as needed. Supervisory experience includes Service Planning intern in Summer 2010. Developed project goals/ tasks, defined a work schedule, trained intern on the GIS software. Received weekly review of project status, kept manager informed about work progress.

Duties include performing research, analysis, computations, records preparation, feasibility studies for comprehensive transportation planning, memorandum and report writing, and offering technical assistance, guidance, and liaison with METRO and PARTA.
