Political Psychology

Political Psychology is an interdisciplinary academic field dedicated to understanding political science, politicians and political behavior through the use of psychological theories. The relationship between politics and psychology is considered bi-directional. The distinction yet co-dependent relationship between individual and group settings are significant for understanding behavior influenced by; beliefs, motivation, perception, cognition, information processing, learning strategies, socialization and attitude formation, within the context of political applications.
